As a child of the 70's, I've always loved the sophisticated comfort of that decade and of course, a great caftan. Most designs are rather shapeless and flowing to the floor. I wanted to create a design that felt a bit more sculpted, accentuating the shape of the body, but still keeping the spirit of a full caftan.
The slate gray for the custom dye lots was inspired by my love of Georgian architecture and slate roof tiles. It has a slight hint of blue and is a beautiful color for blond, brunette, or silver hair.
I recently entered the Jacqueline and was awarded as a finalist for the Our State Magazine, Style Category.
