Dark Gray Leather Overlay Large Lumbar

When creating pillows from remnants, sometimes parts normally considered waste become the most unique design element.  I really fell in love with the fraying of this dark gray distressed hide and was tempted to make this design into wall art.  But, in the end I landed on this gorgeous oversized statement lumbar. 

All pillows made with distressed leather have been left in their natural state to highlight the beauty of these materials, however, distressing can be treated with high quality leather conditioner to create a more uniform appearance.  

Made exclusively for the ATELIER PILLOW COLLECTION, this special group of sustainable and one of a kind pillows are made in leather and hair on hide remnants from the NC furniture industry.   

Each design is unique taking into consideration the size of the remnant, beauty of the material and interesting techniques to showcase the leather or hide.
