OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR SAFETY

ADALÉI is committed to combating the spread of COVID-19 and understand there can be concerns with receiving product into your home.  To ensure your safety, we have implemented the following procedures into our workroom.

  • IS THE WORKROOM SANITIZED?

The ADALEI workroom and each area of cutting, sewing, ironing/steaming, and packaging station are cleaned DAILY (multiple times) with a 70% solution of alcohol.  We do not use Clorox wipes to avoid any unnecessary chemicals that could attach to the fabrics.  When changing between stations a non toxic hand sanitizer from US brand Puracy is used to ensure no pathogens are being transferred in the workroom.   The workroom is thoroughly heat steamed each weekend. 

  • DO YOU WEAR A MASK WHILE SEWING?

Yes.  Masks are worn in the workroom.

  • HOW DO YOU SANITIZE PRODUCT PRIOR TO SHIPPING?

PPE masks (Burlington covers and Carolina Cone) are washed in detergent and hot water.

Silk masks and clothing/accessories are thoroughly steamed with high heat.  

  • HOW DO YOU PREVENT RISK OF SPREAD WITH RETURNS?

Our PPE products that are worn on the face are not returnable due to the high risk of spreading COVID-19.

The collection pieces (clothing) are held for 5 days upon return and then thoroughly heat steamed prior to being returned to the rack. 

 

Our original hope was to use a UV light to sanitize our products, however, have learned there is no research proving UV light (for a "home" device) will kill pathogens on fabric.  Stores and boutiques across the globe are using high heat steam as a means of returning product to the floor.
