"Soul of Sunset" is a dry pigment and wax encaustic painting with a heavily textured surface in multiple wax layers. Rich tones of orange and brown demonstrate a glowing surface resembling a sunset.

Using dry pigments, dammar resin, and beeswax, I create my own colors and medium for each piece. A combination of heated metal tools, brushes, and a mini blow torch, create layer upon layer of wax and color, developing the composition, form, and texture.
