"Typically in the leather industry, the edges are considered waste and thrown out. Nature knows better. The movement and the texture in the edges are, to me, the most beautiful part of this hide. I felt an overlay would accentuate it in a way that no other design could. Oversized at 29" long as a statement piece".
The Reclaimed Textiles begin with leathers and hair on hide sourced from the NC furniture trade and chosen for their character, interest, and coloring. Working within what exists, each piece is cut, quilted, or constructed to honor the leather's natural scale and characteristics — resulting in one-of-a-kind intentional designs.
